a few questions about adding my self into the game...

i took Pau Gasol's .viv file
like the tutorial in the sticky topic...

i dont have a body...
it shows my a red green map..

his eyes is blue...
but mine is black
i put an beye.fsh file in the xplayer foler in my elbecks folder...
but it still not black
and i dont have a body..

plz help..

btw...
1. i extracted the files from the .viv file with vivmagic
2. i edited my players.dbf file..
3. i edited just the pagasol_loda.o file

This may sound like a stupid question, but have you edited the PLAYERPKG value in players.dbf? You'll need to change it to read ELBECKS before any CustomArt patches will be recognised for your created player. Also ensure that CustomArt is enabled.

and i changed it(PLAYERPKG)
last time that i tried it workd...
i tried it from reggie miller's files...
like one of the tutorials(viv method) here...
but the head shape didn't even close to mine...

Gasol's head shape is almost like mine...
i edited it to be like mine...

but there is no skin(the elbecks_acc.fsh)..
i tried to take one of the other patches that i downloaded....
i still didnt work


and the eyes...
i tried to add beye.fsh file into my folder...
but still there are green\blue
and mine was black

The only thing that comes to mind is an incorrect file name. Have you renamed all the .fsh and .viv files accordingly (ie elbecks.fsh, elbecks.viv)?

Assuming the path and filenames are all correct, you have CustomArt enabled and there are no problems with the graphics files themselves...I really have no idea. Sorry.

when you created your player
placed numbers for the color of eyes?
check your dbf editting
