I've made a lot of tries, all the way since Live 2003, and I can safely say; No. It's not possible.

The farthest i've come, is so that the game reads the top-left corner or the big picture.
I'm pretty sure you would need to go inside the game files and somehow make the game read 265 (or 512) to the right, and down, instead of the regular 128. But I don't think that would be possible...
