Official update problem...

For some reason when I click "check for updates", nothing happens...is there any other way to get the update?

The official patch has not been released yet. The update that some people have is an early beta version of the patch which wasn't officially released by EA.

Any ideas on when the official patch will be released? EA Sports spends a lot more of its efforts on NHL 2004. Although NHL 2004 was released quite a bit earlier than NBA LIVE 2004, but still--shouldn't make that much of a difference.

No idea, sorry. I expect when it's finished being tested, we'll see some sort of announcement.
