Moved from General Issues.

I don't think it matters which CD you use to play the game. Is your video card supported by NBA Live 2004? If so, are your drivers up to date? Often updating your video card drivers solves this kind of problem.

You can downloaded updated video card drivers from your video card's homepage. For example, if you're using a GeForce card, you can downloaded updated drivers from Nvidia's site (www.nvidia.com).

I've had the same problem and it is very disappointing. But if you want to play, try starting a dynasty and make sure you don't go into training camp (sim it) and all other graphically intensive cut scenes, such as training sessions, etc. From what I hear about camps and sessions, you won't be missing much. You should be able to at least begin playing in dynasty mode until you can replace your driver. It really sucks that EA screwed us people without the mega fancy cards, but that is the nature of pc gaming, if you don't update, you can't play.

p.s. Don't sim training camp, skip it altogether.

In Control Panel, select "System". Go to the "Hardware" tab, and click "Device Manager". Then look under "Display Adapters". Right click and view the Properties of your video card. There should be an option to update your drivers under the "Driver" tab.
