I might be getting ahead of my time here, but I hope they would eventually make it so that you can control the mood and momentum of the game through your player's actions unrelated to basketball.
For example, if you argue properly with the refs after a bad call (if a computer is capable of making a bad call, I'm not sure), the foul-calling frequency might change real-time inside the game as you go. If you argue too excessively, however, you might get called for a technical. And that will cause some emotional swings that might affect player ratings real-time and such. It would be even better if some players get real physical or if you had the ability to trash-talk during the game.
Ah.... wishful thinking is good.....
