Training shooting

Postby darknezx on Fri Dec 26, 2003 2:59 pm

Alright, I've the open look and I take a mid range jumper. Sometimes I get them from the side of the paint, and shockingly I can miss these jumpers, even when no one is anywhere near. How do I get my shooting to go up, my sliders are adjusted to Andrew's real game sliders. Now I have to resort to continuously exploit Iverson and Lebron James to get some lay-ups. I see the computer rising up, and just when the player lands he releases, getting a bucket. But I cannot emulate this. What are the physics to the shooting in this game? Thanks!

just use the practice mode to practice on the release point...

BUT if you cannot be bothered, or still cannot find that perfect release point, go into the sliders, and change the poor release point in the user sliders to 0

Your player will now always release it perfectly, but it doesn't mean your game stats will be 100% fg but it'll just mean the computer won't randomly make your player jack up off balance shots for no reason. :)

So if u're player is open he WILL sink the shot, if he's being guarded, he still has a chance of missing the shot.

Thank you very much! I did try practice mode, and T-Mac sank shot after shot. But he hasn't been able to produce half of that performance even when open, while the computer T-Mac was invincible. Weird.
