Heated Issues

Postby Icebane on Thu Dec 25, 2003 7:47 pm

Hey guys, Long time.

I am here to air a gripe of mine.
I use player lock in 2004 and what really pissed me off the other day, was my character was on Keith Van Horn. He hit 14 threes in that game, out of about 40 attempts. Even when I didn't leave him alone and got in his face he hit them.

The same goes for every player I am against. They always take the majority of shots and score more than usual! And I have the sliders so everything is pretty real.

Also, what is with the user team? I am Sacramento, and Alot of the offense has to run through me, because Bibby or whoever has the ball will just stand around until the shot clock runs out, without even putting up a shot! How can I remedy this? I am sick of my player racking up 15 APG and 40 PPG. And his primacy is 60!

Hmmm i've only played about 10-12 games so far. I have noticed that since I have player-lock on my PG (Brent Barry) the opposing team's PG whether it's Baron Davis or it's Jamal Crawford, all score around 30 points a game. However they aren't all on 3-pointers like yours. Unless you're playing defense way off of them. I always just get right in their face, and only break off and get that "double-team steal" dealy whenever there's a person close enough, so that if they pass, I have enough time to dart back to my man and at least attempt a block. Although I did "shut-down" one PG (i think Wizards) to about 17 points on the night, which wasn't bad in comparison to the others. I just play really aggressive with Barry (2nd in the league in steals).

u've just gotta guard your man closely,
either by raising your hands, or in the crouching position..
stick to your man like glue and deny him the ball by playing the passing lanes, i can usually hold my opposing player to about 10ppg or lower pretty easily

I recently played a game on Rookie level and flogged the team by over 50 points.
But the guy I was on who doesn't even have a 3 by his name shot 25 3 point shots... He hit about 5 and they were in the last quarter...
I do guard my man close, but on higher difficulty, (I pay on All Star) they never miss... KEITH VAN HORN hit 12 of 16 3points for christs sake... and that is with the best shot blocker in the league covering his arse.
