Fix for those unable to run LIVE 2004 (PC)

Postby phyrst on Sun Dec 21, 2003 6:23 am

I had this problem about a month back and what I did was install the game create a folder called "nba live" on my desktop, copy all of the files off of the cd into that folder, insert disk 2 into the cd rom drive and double click the nba live.exe file in the folder and PRESTO game works. This game has a problem being read directly off the cd by a few cd roms and this fixed my problem. So if you're experiencing this issue just do this and I PROMISE it will work

you copy both discs and put the contents into a folder that you should name something like "nba" or "live 2004" Then you put the cd in the drive and run the game off of the NBA LIVE.exe file inside of the COPIED FOLDER or it won't work

ok so do I copy directly off the cd itself when it is in the drive or do i copy the file it automaticly made when I installed the game(the second one was the one I did and did not work)

First you install the game onto ya HD. then go into my computer and copy the entire cd contents to ya desktop in a folder called "nba" including the nba live 2004.exe file to run the game. then you run the game from ya desktop in that "nba" folder. I was going crazy trying to figure out how to work it. talked to like 3 ea sports reps then came up wtih this solution. It runs fine now
