(Rookie question)....How do you.....?

I couldn't find this using the search,
but....I'm new to Live '04 and I'm not sure how I back down the defender coming from the post position?...ie Shaq pushing his defender back to get closer to the basket.

Another question is...
how do you intentionally foul someone?
