I managed to slow the scoring down with sum costs!

im new to this board, but im a lakers fan, and i live in western australia, and ive been playing the game continous to try and it make it real as possible.I managed to get the scores from 70 to 80's and sumtimes 90's with the occasional 100 point game, but it came at the expence of having high turnovers, steals and a low fg%(around the .350 to .450 range). And it became annoying when i couldnt hit a basket with karl malone or shaq,so now im working on the sliders again, and i think im getting very close to what the nba should be in a game....maybe in a few games i will have it ready to go.
For anyone interested . i started a franchise with these settings , and These are the stats:

Lakers 8-3, first in the pacific

Kobe Bryant - 23.8ppg 7.3reb 4.3ass
Gary Payton - 22.6ppg 5.1reb 6.5ass
Shaquille O'neal - 17.3ppg 13.7reb 3.7blk
Devean George - 13.8ppg 6.3reb 3.9ass
Derek Fisher - 12.9 ppg 3.1reb 4.3ass
Karl Malone - 11.9ppg 10.3reb 4.4ass

Lakers 103ppg Opp 87ppg
i feel these new sliders will be even better than the ones i used for this franchise so if anyone wants, ill keep you posted.

Yeah man keep it coming, im having real trouble getting my scores down, i just started playing defence the way andrew does and i finally kept a team under 90!!, but i still scored 119, i think i am averaging about 120ppg and oponents 107ppg, but i dont have that good a team on defence.

i have the same problem ive score over 100 in all my game but 1 were i was held to 93 against the clippers.. but the highest score ive had on a game is 120 im using bens sliders with a little bit of tweaking like lowering the shots sliders down a bit... but i always seem to drive the ball with My SF and SG and score all the time unless i get bumped in the lane ive recently started doing this with my PG... this is how i do it i use freestyle crossover over and over again and when i see my defender lose his balance i juke him and drive the lane for a dunk or layup..

The sliders that i use have been pretty good, scores in the 85-105 range. All the other stuff is normal except the fouls, they foul me alot. Oh yeah and the turn overs are pretty good, around 10-15. I am very pleased. And it seems like in alot of the games, that it comes down to the file 2 mins of the game and it is very close.

I have been held to as low as 63 (by indiana with adjusted defensive awareness ratings) and have held Cleveland to 78.
The most I've scored is 118 in an OT W over milwaukee.
And i cant remember the highest i allowed but ity wasn't over 120.
VERY realistic in my opinion.

The readon I don't play 12 MIN is it yields too many rebounds and FG attempts in my opinion. averaging 42 rebounds at the moment, I have gone from 10 MIN to 11, might consider 12.
