Driving to the hoops

Postby Adrian on Sun Nov 16, 2003 10:27 pm

Hiya,

Played my friend's copy of NBA Live 2004....

How come when Im guarded by a player but I want to drive to the hoop my player suddenly moves in a direction which is opposite with what I want?

I drive to the hoops, but it looks like he is backing down and moving away from the hoop...whats up with that?

Also, save me posting another post...what button is the deliberate foul button?

In a close game with my friend I needed the foul button but didn't know which button is was allocated to.

Adrian.

(1)The reason he has his back to the basket is because of the On-Ball Physical Defense sliders. Lower this and it is easier to get to the hoop. I like it the way it is because you can't just abuse the CPU.

I'll tell you another thing too, the triple threat position is dangerous in this game and I love it. I think it is alot more realistic to get to the hoop because of great triple threat play than a nasty crossover.

(2)On the XBOX the late game or intentional fouling button is the back button. On PS2 it is the select button.

Hope this helps my friend.

umm you know how you can allocate different buttons to do different things, for example, I choose A as shoot, B as pass etc

What word on the controller setup screen represents the deliberate foul button? I think 2003 was playcalling...I think last year, if you was on offence you will call a timeout, if you was on defence you would foul on purpose to send someone to the line.

I hope you understand me.

Thanks
