Where did you get this from? shuajota is an excellent professional, his personal website, he releases all the mods for free, always doing the best for the community. I think you saw some false information. I hope I helped.

This year they killed all of 2k modding by switching to a paid modding system. We forgot why we love the this game.

I went on Shuajota's site to download a mod. When I clicked on it, it took me to the download, then after it downloaded I saw a prompt from some guy named KyleAncajas2k asking me how much I would like to pay for it. I also saw something about video game modding services and NBA2K merchandise that I never saw before, under a few of the mods. Shuajota told me he was thinking about giving up modding. I don't know what to make of it honestly. I know I'm not paying for mods.

Then don't. I don't and I've managed well enough. Also a lot of those Kofi links will allow you to enter 0 as an amount (obviously lots of people are wanting their share of the new pay model but you don't HAVE to pay for mods, just find a free alternative or go without)

Worse is asking for 10 dollars for some of the mods. lol F that noise. Paid mods is finally going to help me from buying 2k again. Modding scene was the best when HAWK created that mega roster years ago. Oh well...I'm pretty much burnt out of 2k anyway.

Found out this "madness" when I for the first time bought a 2K game. Been around other sport manager games for over 25 years and very very seldom seen this. Lots are still free and those blokes create whatever they do out of love for the game and fellow gamers.
When you see a couple of bucks for a cyberface which in most cases do very little I wonder what the idea beside greed is.
Even the bigger mods can not even match the mods made in Madden, which there are free. I wonder what has gone "wrong" in the years past in 2K and the people who play the game. So many are in for the buck you can squeeze out of the community. Since I play 100% franchise and not moving out int hose fantasy parks 2K got for basket it might be the ones playing that who is the culprits in most cases. I understand 2K and Madden do charge folks in those other fantasy playing roles out from Franchise playing.
I understand the few that even buy other programs (still most are free on internet) to make their adjustment and mods, but I think they are wrong charging prices that even match 2K full game under some discount period.
Whatever it's a mystery and it surprised me when I started to see it. Now I have enraged the ones feeling targeted but you guys brought it on yourself I think.
I should perhaps seen this years before and started to charge the stuff I made for those other games, but no I'm not twisted that way.

I'm not buying it anyway. I really enjoy my own game, my slider and realistic formulas. I wrote it here because I thought they killed the spirit of the game.
