New NBA ERA confirmed for MyNBA - Predictions?

So.... what could this mean?

We currently have:

1. Magic vs Bird era
2. Michael Jordan era
3. Kobe Bryant era
4. Lebron James era
5. Modern NBA

The LeBron era starts 2011 NBA season - post "the decision". Meanwhile the Kobe Bryant era starts 2001 (IRRC).

Could the latest addition be for "PRE-DECISION"? like a mid 2000's era?

OR could it be the Splash Brothers era's? (2014-2015 NBA season)?

What are your thoughts?

I can only see it being the 70s

I wouldn't rule out a late 2010s option, if only because it'll likely be easier to license the players. It might seem too recent, but we are in the mid 2020s now, so a starting point around 2017 isn't unthinkable either.

A 70s era would definitely be cool if they can pull it off, especially if we get some ABA representation. I wouldn't mind mid-to-late 90s as well, just to have the second Bulls threepeat as a starting point (since that's where most of my nostalgia lies). Mid 2000s is an intriguing possibility, too. I'd definitely be in favour of some alternate starting points/mini-eras, as they can be a bit broad and spread out. Makes sense since we're talking about eras of course, but it's a lot of ground to cover.

If I had to pick the most likely, I'd say 70s since they haven't gone that far back yet - and the lack of a three-point line would make it really interesting to play - or mid to late 2010s so they can wind it back a little bit, just far enough that you'll notice the significant turnover in the league since then and to get some of today's stars into the league from the start (and not have so much trouble licensing them).

Logistically it makes a lot of sense, and there's merit to having some flexibility within each decade, especially with eras overlapping or being in question (i.e. Are the 2010s the decade of LeBron, or the Splash Bros? There's a debate there). It'd be underwhelming to some extent, but I'm all for added content and options. Given the choice between mid-to-late 90s and mid-to-late 2010s, my nostalgia prefers the 90s, but there's an argument for the later 2010s, for sure.

I'm thinking it'll be the Warriors dynasty era till now. But a 70s ABA would be awesome!

Yes!!! This is what I'd love to see as there isn't a single WNBA legend in game other than those playing, take us back to '97 as I'm sure they can get most of the players' likenesses and the Comets can come back in a huge way! I wanna avenge my Liberty!
