Most important points:

Release date: September 6, 2024.
Platforms: PS5, XS X|S, PS4, X1, Switch and PC (Steam).
Current gen platforms: PS5, XS X|S and PC.
Crossplay: Only between PS5 and XS X|S (in other words likely still no anticheat on PC).
Editions: Standard, WNBA, All-Star and Hall of Fame.
WNBA edition is physical only and exclusive to NA.
All-Star has 100k VC + some boosts etc.
Hall of Fame has NBA League Pass subscription and 2K25 Season 1 Pro pass.

PC is current gen confirmed. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

A: NBA 2K25 on PC will be New Gen, which means that all associated modes and features, excluding crossplay, will be available to play on PC via Steam. This includes ProPLAY™, MyCAREER, MyTEAM, Play Now and, for the first time on PC – The City, MyNBA Eras, and The W.

Q: Will PC players be able to use crossplay to compete against players on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S|S in NBA 2K25?
A: The PC version of the game will not have crossplay functionality with other platforms. Crossplay** in NBA 2K25 will only be available across PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S|S consoles.

Excellent news. As much as anything else, it sets up the PC release to be around for the future. Should pretty much allay any and all fears that it'll be phased out with the PS4 and X1 now.

And yes, I totally clickbaited you, but you're now happy, so deal with it.

No anti-cheat because they specifically wanted to have full support for the steam deck. Anti-cheat requires secure boot which Linux and Steam Deck does not support. If they added that, it wouldn't run on the Deck. I know some people wanted it, but I for one am glad they didn't add it because I've been wanting to play eras on my Steam Deck and I will finally be able to.
