Talk about NBA 2K25 here.

For old NBA games backup of Sync.bin file was enough. But new NBA seems different. Which file I need to back up on PC ?

I know custom rosters still have roster files. I am asking for 2K Official Roster.

Any luck with the official roster backups? Been trying to recover the launch day roster from my end (pre-Luka to LA, pre-KAT to NY), and even tried to download older versions from the Steam depot, but the game forces me to start 2K online, which re-downloads the latest roster changes...
Right now, I'm sifting through the user-created rosters to see if someone had the wise idea to upload it, but 2K's search function has been turrible for helping me find it.

I’m not sure what’s confusing here. Let me explain the situation again
I've already backed up NBA 2K15 through 2K24 on PC. As you know, the sync.bin file is enough to preserve rosters after server shutdown.
But for the next-gen version on PC, the file structure is different, and I’m not exactly sure which file needs to be backed up.
I’m talking about the official rosters, not the custom ones.

Try saving the REMOTE folder. All of the rosters are saved there. You have to save the official roster yourself. Steam may try to update the files from the cloud in the future if you use these old files again. Be aware. You may need to turn the cloud off temporarily. No guarantees on my part. This is what I did when I had a corrupted MyNBA save.
