*WARNING* BANS handed out on NBA 2K24

So I just logged on today to find that I have a message that I'm permanently banned for using ''unauthorized software''. I'd like to warn anyone that use mods I guess because I've been modding 2K since 2011 and have never been banned for cyberfaces, arenas, dornas etc etc..
Any idea why this ban would have happened in the first place? Most I used was @Looyh's 2K Tool to edit my rosters to keep it updated with all the free agency signings but apart from that I only play MyLeague. Haven't went online once this year because as we all know, PC online SUCKS. Just posting this as a warning!

would be pretty boring if I couldn't mod myleague until 2k25 comes. is there a workaround for this? what even happens after you get banned? can you just make another 2k account and continue playing?

First of all, did you use the mods folder by default for installing mods?

Hook + 1.2 exe works without issues. People get their accounts banned bcs they are installing files into the mods folder by default and running the game with the latest exe.

Yep, I don't have the Hook anymore because for some reason my game did not launch anymore with the 1.2 exe (ran the game through Steam and it did nothing but using the latest .exe worked) so I deleted the hook and still kept my 20gb mod folder and it worked fine. I guess if that's why they're handing out bans I'm guilty. Doesn't really matter because I paid 15 bucks for the game and the new one drops in a few months but still, interesting either way.

To answer your question I just can't go online which means I can't download custom rosters, draft classes, player DNAs etc.. if there is a way to create a new 2K Account to continue playing I would be more then happy to hear a way xd

Yep, I don't have the Hook anymore because for some reason my game did not launch anymore with the 1.2 exe (ran the game through Steam and it did nothing but using the latest .exe worked) so I deleted the hook and still kept my 20gb mod folder and it worked fine. I guess if that's why they're handing out bans I'm guilty. Doesn't really matter because I paid 15 bucks for the game and the new one drops in a few months but still, interesting either way.

You only need to remove your current hook folder (perhaps you installed a wrong file there), press on verify files from Steam and then you can install my PCBasket´s artwork bcs my Mods folder includes everything you need plus exe 1.2 and everything works fine.

It's too late now since I'm banned anyway, will just keep playing with the normal .exe
