I haven't tried this but it's probably better to drag the modded files into the 2k23 gooeyoverlaysstatic (and replace any additional wipewarps with duplicates of this one) rather than literally using the 2k19 gooeyoverlaysstatic.

Same as Chicagorilla, no wipe shows up on my end
I've modded for 4 games (2K20, 2K21, 2K22, 2K23) and don't plan on stopping!

I haven't tried this mod personally, but again this is probably because it's literally the 2k19 gooeyoverlaysstatic, which lacks the wipewarps that 2K has subsequently added. If you sat and played long enough you'd probably see dimparas's texture, but every time the game tries to load one of the newer wipewarps, it loads nothing, since those don't exist in the IFF. Generally speaking you never want to just flat-out use an old gooey on a new game, as gooeys impact too many aspects of the game to be interchangeable like that (unless you're OK with a bunch of potential issues, like broken textures and game elements). If you want to use something from an old 2K gooey in a newer 2K, you should always isolate the element you want to transfer and drag it into the new game's gooey. In this case too one needs to account for the fact that 2k19 apparently didn't have the variety of wipewarps that newer 2Ks have, so if one wants to see the modded wipewarp in place of all of those newer wipewarps, they all need to be replaced with duplicates of the modded version. I did something similar for my 2K22 wipes that I posted at the beginning of that game cycle and I think I explained it in my thread (i.e., my main mod thread for 2K22) if you need more details.

I added the EuroLeague texture that TwisT made for me in 2K19 and it worked with dimparas´s file in 2K23.

I appreciate the kind words but you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. During a game on 2K23 (and it was the same on 22), the engine thinks there are 3 or 4 different wipes to look for in gooeyoverlaysstatic, all of which have their own VCUIELEMENTs. There may or may not be any logic involved in which one is triggered when (my impression is that it's random), but in any case, the game will attempt to load them. I'm unaware of any way to mod this.

If you are using an old gooeyoverlaysstatic that lacks anything corresponding to the new wipes, then when the game tries to load them, I'm almost certain that it loads nothing -- not your wipe, not anything. That would explain why when the two users above tried your mod, instead of seeing your wipe in places where they would normally see default wipes, they saw nothing. They *would* see your wipe when the game (seemingly randomly) decides to load the current wipe that shares the name of the 2k19 one, but that's only like 1/3 or 1/4 of the time.

The proper way to have your wipe triggered in place of ALL default 2K wipes (and also to not potential break other things in the game that are controlled by gooeyoverlaysstatic) is to integrate your wipe into the 2k23 gooeyoverlaysstatic and create duplicate VCUIELEMENTs that replace the additional 2K23 wipes, so that regardless of which wipe the game tries to load, it loads yours. That's what I did in 2K22, and as I said I think I may have explained further in my old thread. I can't remember.

Perfect explanation vetmin.
I was also testing and experimenting with this and was wondering about it..
Based on this we're gonna get the 2K19 wipe style for 2K23 as complete as possible. thanks for sharing your very helpful knowledge with us.
