Help for Headband

Wed Jan 11, 2023 1:07 am

Hi everybody,

i'm not a modder but i've tried to teach from tutorial for converting etc.. but i've a lot of trouble for now.

I try to reduce the width of the headband for Melo and Iverson because they are too big and take up the entire forehead whereas the ones they wore were thinner. (like in the 2 photos joined)

I would also like to lower the way they wear it, so that it is closer to the eyebrows (like iverson) and not up the forehead.

I found in the png_headband with the "hihead "file how to enlarge it so that it is not jerky on the front but I do not know how to do for my 2 other requests.

thanks if someone can help me .

First, with notepad++

clean the lods for the player as showed here

Repeat the process for the headband too.

Then in in blender (i use 2.79)

Load the player highest lod
On the top right, rename hihead to whatever you want

Then load the headband highest lod

At this step you have to see the player, and the headband.

Still on the top right, be sure to Select the headband scene ... called hihead (now, you understand why we renamed it in the first place)

Then, switch to EDIT MOD (press E)

Select All (press A)

Then Scale : press S, then X to scale X axis.

Repeat For Y and Z axis if necessary

You can move the headband by grabbing it (G key in Edit mode) if necessary.
You can also make a rotation (R Key, and select the axis too).

When edit is done, switch to Object mode, press A to select all, then export the headband 3D model.

Open pngXXXX_headband.iff with 7-zip (or whatever tool use use to manage compressed files)
drop the new .model file

its done
