I've been trying to FLS modifier, but I can't seem to get it to activate in game. It initializes, but can't get anything to come up. There's also a red error message if you go to the second menu and click what is supposed to be the game running button.

I tried it and it won't start the game. I've put the files in the main game directory and run it in administrator mode, but I get a message that I should put the files in main game directory.... What now?

So I got it to work for the first time, but when I closed the game and tried it again its showing me a massage that the game is still running. I checked Task manager and Steam, but the game wasn't running. Also, what does the basketball button do?

I had it in the game directory, and it was running as admin.

edit - and I just tried putting the files in and running it again, and got the same error message, not able to get the menu up in game.

So, I have managed to have success with the first tool that Skidrow_Admin posted. It's pretty simple to edit attributes and badges with that.

I would love a table that let's me max out all attributes in the build creator. The script in the table posted earlier still has an error. They don't show you the number of attribute points available to spend, or how many are left this year, otherwise I would just scan for it like last year.

This is a weird one...they translate out to Layup, CIC, dribble, and score. The first three give a value of 421075225 when you get to the attribute window in the builder. The last one is at 25 and is apparently the overall that is listed there. Locking the overall doesn't change the amount of points that are being spent though, it just changes the number displayed. You can also lock in or manipulate the other values, but they still consume points if they are moved up or down just like they would if you moved them up in the game. In other words, I'm not really sure the use for this one.

Ok...so...I figured out the easiest way (for me at least) to edit all the ratings in the character builder with no limits using the table Skidrow_Admin posted above. The addresses as they are listed have a value that it basically representing the in game values for a block of four attributes. You can mess around with the value in the table if you want, but I just went to browse memory region for one of the entries. That allowed me to just edit the individual values in the memory viewer from 7FF69349C650 to 7FF69349C665. Just input the hex value for the rating you want on that attribute. The game doesn't register above 110 I believe, so I used 6E for all the values. That got me a player with all 110 attribute ratings. This will put your overall above 99 though, but using the table to lock your overall at 99 should allow you to continue and complete making the player.

edit - unfortunately not letting me use the OP build, it kicks me out with an error code when I try to start a mycareer with it...still experimenting to see what I can get away with

edit 2 - bumping stats up to the maximum allowable for your build in every category works fine, so you can't go crazy, but you can get the max potential for your position, height, weight, wingpsan, etc... more badge points to play with...it's too bad because I really just wanted to be able to unlock certain animations to use on my 6'9" point guard that I can't use because his speed with ball is too low, plus the jumpers I won't be able to use because my shooting stats are middling.

How do we use the table in the first place? It’s not letting me do anything when I go on cheat engine process.

so i was able to launch the table that skidrow posted in the thread, but now i dont know what to do with it. i cant checkmark the boxes next to the addresses. im sort of clueless on what to do next here.

Re: 2K23 KappaLambda's Cheat Engine Table

Mon Sep 19, 2022 12:57 am

Well guys, I'm not sure what you are doing that is causing problems.

I'll start with the fact that the table is specifically for the build creator, and nothing else. You can't change anything about already created players using it, those are completely different values at different addresses.

So, you need to open the table, select nba2k23 as the process, then go to create a build. Select all your particulars for the build you want, and get to the screen where you are choosing max levels for all your attributes. At this point you should notice the first three addresses in the table are populated with something akin to a value of 421075225 like mine was. If you look at the descriptions for each address on the table, you'll notice that it is a few chinese characters and a series of numbers. If you were to copy those numbers from the description and paste them in as a new value, then check your game...you'll notice that you have a bunch of skills at 99 now. Specifically, the first address is for finishing, the second for shooting, and the third for playmaking. However, there are actually some attributes that are skipped along the way here...plus, if you put your numbers above the allowable cap for your build, you won't be able to actually use it in a mycareer. It will finish the build, and you can test it, but launching mycareer with it will kick you out to main menu with an error. So, what I did was go through all my attributes and write down the max allowed values (what you could get to if you were putting points into them in game legitimately). Then, if you right click on one of the addresses in the table and choose browse memory location, you will open the memory viewer for cheatengine. It should be showing you the memory locations I mentioned in my earlier post in the top line. If you have all your attributes back at the lowest levels, they should be populated across the board with 19. That's because 19 in hexidecimal is 25 in decimal...and 25 is the min value you'll see in the game for each attribute. So, now you just input the hexidecimal value for the maximum allowable value of the corresponding attribute at each memory address. If you don't know hexidecimal well, and don't want to bother converting in your head...google will provide a handy dandy decimal to hexidecimal conversion tool with a simple search. I already mentioned that 19 will give you 25, similarly 63 will give you 99. Now, after you do that and go back into the game, you should see all your attributes at their max allowable levels. Your overall is likely going to be just a shade over 100 though, and the game does not like this. So, go back to the table...the last address there is your overall value. You set that to 99 and check the box to hold the value there. Go back in game, your overall should say 99, and you should be able to press a button to continue on through the builder. Choose your takeovers, finish your build, start your mycareer. Boom.

If you guys run into specific problems along the way, I'll be happy to try and help some more.
