Mod Released

Download these must have files

1. Looyh NBA 2K Hook: NBA2K_Hook For 2K23
(This is required. Unzip To Your NBA2K23 Game Directory)

2. Looyh Roster Plugin: [Hook_Plugin] Roster Modding
(This is required. Put RosterModding.lua into NBA 2K23\NBA2K_Hook\Scripts folder)

3. NBA 2K Shared Folder: https://www.mediafire.com/file/e9j7y1uo ... r.rar/file
(This is Required. If you already have a shared folder you dont need it. This is only needed if the arenas are black when you load everything up)

4. College Hoops Mod files: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/l49eg0 ... Hoops_2K23
(All the files here are required. Optional Files are listed in the Optional diectory)

Installing the Mod

Unzip each file you downloaded and place the folders inside your 2k directory. Also download the Bootup.png and place it in your 2K directory.

When you have all the directories loaded up it should look something like this.

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA 2K23 (This is your main 2k directory if you have the game through steam)

Mods_College_Arenas
Mods_College_Logos
Mods_College_Crowds
Mods_College_Jerseys
Mods_College_Cyberfaces
Mods_College_SharedFolder
etc...

If you have a folder called Mods thats empty delete this folder. You dont need it if your keeping everything sorted by name.

Download the Roster

After installing all the folders download the roster in NBA 2K.
College Roster should be called FCH2K23 or you can search by name RobDavis

This is a Fictional College Hoops Roster/Mod that NOW features 146 college teams. The art, jerseys, crowds, courts, arenas and more are all included. This Roster/Mod was meant for use with MyLeague but play now works as well after loading the roster. I personally like to load a myleague pick my teams and do a player lock and simulate a college career.

This is huge!!!

I've become such a huge, huge fan of fictional rosters. I feel like so many people have their own gaming experience ruined because what they see in-game does not perfectly mirror what has happened or is the expectation for the current season (despite what ultimately happens being just one of tons of different plausible possibilities). You see it all the time. "That would never happen!" "How is Player X the MVP?!" etc. etc. etc. I really never thought I would enjoy fictional rosters until, when we first started to quarantine here and I bought MLB The Show 20, and found Bacon's Fictional Roster. It was absolutely the most fun I think I've ever had playing a Franchise Mode of a sports video game, ever; because there were no pre-disposed expectations. I didn't have to worry about Mike Trout "not hitting enough" HRs, and so forth, because there was no expectation for these players at all. It was an unbelievable breath of fresh air, and I love the possibility here (obviously as one of the NLSC's resident College Hoops fanatics). Somehow I've missed the previous iterations of this seen in the OP's sig, having not played 2K in years, but I figured I'd just pop in and give this a big

Can't agree with bighOrt more. I like using fictional rosters after I've played the NBA rosters for a while. I even use a draft with NBA players in MyLeague just to mix it up. I worked with bighOrt on the NBA 2K14 college mods.
For NBA 2K22 I used the artwork from the 2K21 release and fictional cyberfaces made by the community and made my own roster. I look forward to this mod.

Thank you for your creativity and effort to boost fans of college basketball. You should be paid to help design a future college game (if they ever decide to create one again because 2K had an awesome franchise.)
