Editing sound file in Audacity

Does anyone know what to save an audio file as when editing a sound? I open the RESA file in Audacity and edit the fade in value for example, I've tried saving it as a wav and ogg file then renaming it to a .RESA but it's just crashing the game.

Get an audio file you want in MP3 format. Use looyh's Music Converter to convert it to WAV. Rename the WAV as RESA.

What you do is you open the file you want to edit, make your edits, save as an .mp3 in audacity. Then, run it through Looyh's music converter to get it into the 2K .wav form, and then rename the .wav to .RESA. The only Caveat is that the audio file MUST start at 1 second or later. That's the only way the game will read it properly.
