MyLeague starting year

Hi guys, is it possible to start myleague in a different year, similar to what is done with the rosters in 2k14? I dont wanna get a new 2k every year, i have been playing 2k14 for a long time and the year always changed with the roster, moved to 2k23 this year and now idk if its also possible here.

It’s not totally clear to me what you’re asking. Do you mean “does/will 2K23 have accurate rosters for every NBA season, so you can start at potentially any real point in league history?” I’m working on some retro stuff, but I think it’s unlikely this game gets rosters for every season. Or are you asking about the literal display year, like using a 1967-68 roster and having it say October 28th, 1967 on the actual game calendar? I didn’t play 2K14 but all the UBR footage I’ve seen uses the 2014-and-onward timeline (so that even when people load the 1967-68 roster, the game calendar begins in “2014”).

I mean the actual game calendar. idk about ubr but in mackubex rosters the year is always the same as the real life year, even the schedule of all teams. So in 17-18 roster the association (2k14's mode similar to myleague) starts in 2017, and the current 22-23 roster starts in 2022, despite being in 2k14.

I actually have the same question. I'd like to start an NBA 2K23 MyLeague, but have the league calendar start not in 2022-23 season, but instead in the 2024-25 season. Is there a way to edit this?

With the MyEra stuff, there's a way for 2K to change the "year" of a MyLeague, and I was curious if we could change that somehow. Could I start a new MyLeague and set the year to 2024 instead of 2023? Or 1993 instead of 2023?
