2K23 Xbox Series/PS5 Downgrade???

Hey guys, i´m back here....

I was banned from Operation Sports because I simply criticize the work of 2k, here, I know I am free to criticize and praise.

For all who are ask about 2K23 vs 2K22 graphics... IMO, its a DOWNGRADE on graphics, especially in textures. what do you think? #NBA2K23

Your right, to me that is a downgrade in regards to textures and colors. What is so next gen about making your game more lighter (or fuggier) than previous installment. Or it might just be the new filters.

I don't see how this is worse than 2K22. Just seems they've changed the lighting and brightened the courts, but I don't see any graphical downgrades.

Reflection is more real for me on 2k22.

If nothing else, the lighting makes NBA 2K23 look a bit washed out. Having been on an extended kick with NBA 2K14 PS4 over the past year, I'm already missing its more vibrant colours.

Reflections aren't necessarily worse, its just that the normal map for the floor was changed. I think 2k wanted to make the wood smoother instead of having a rough finish. Not a fan of the color change though.

Wasn't the "pinkish" Chicago floor an issue in some older PC nba games?

I just did a quick conversion of the photos, and it doesn't look to be a luminance issue like in the past. Browsing getty images and the wood color looks similar to 2K23's court color.

I think you are confusing lighting with graphics here. The lighting is more subdued this year compared to last year when it was a bit over-saturated. Imo Next gen looks better this year.

I'd say this year is definitely closer

I just bought 2k23 for PS5 after playing 22 on PC last year. I specifically bought this for next gen but the colors are all washed out. Looks terrible. It's laughable.
