Can Xbox One players play with Series S/X people?

Hello, everyone,

I'm considering getting Nba2k23 for Xbox One instead of PC. Is it possible to play with people who have Xbox Series S/X?
Or does that not work because of Current Gen & Next Gen?

There's no cross-play between platforms; at least there hasn't been before, and it hasn't been confirmed for NBA 2K23 yet (I'm personally not expecting it to be). There is cross-gen progression in MyTEAM between consoles of the same family, so progress made in the PS4 or X1 version of MyTEAM will carry across to PS5 or XSX|S if you have both games.
