I always jump right into Domination. Here are the highlights from my Magic challenge.

Just over a week in, and I've already missed a daily login bonus, thus forfeiting the wheel spin at the end of the week.

That aside though, I'm really enjoying MyTEAM this year. It helps that I'm enjoying the gameplay, obviously, but it's been fun to do a little bit of everything. The removal of contracts has been huge. Not having to worry about managing an unnecessary consumable makes me far more enthusiastic about longer sessions in MyTEAM, and jumping back and forth between the submodes to earn XP for the Season rewards. It was overdue, but I'm elated that they finally did that.

Not surprisingly, the Ruby Michael Jordan from the MJ Edition pre-order bonuses has been one of my favourite cards to use. I opted for Ja Morant as my first Starter card, and he's a lot of fun to use as well. I've actually just finished evolving Jimmy Butler's Starter Card after doing the same with Morant and Joel Embiid, so I'm progressing nicely through the agendas and whatnot. I didn't pay much attention to Clutch Time last year, but the offline version has been enjoyable to dive into here and there.

My biggest complaints remain the low MT payouts, terrible pack odds (way too many doubles for having less than 100 player cards in the collection), no regulation in the Auction House and third party MT sales, and some of the XP rewards on the agenda items are kind of low as well. Also, while I appreciate The Agenda's...well, agenda of introducing us to different modes and changing up the tasks, I'd prefer if we could choose to swap some of the challenges for an alternative that suits our gaming preferences. For example, if you prefer to play online or offline, it'd be great to be able to swap an agenda item for an equivalent challenge in your submode of choice.

On the whole though, I've been hooked on it so far.

I'm not even close. No way I am going to get to him before Season One ends.

I don't see myself getting there either. Obviously those rewards shouldn't be too easy to snag, but I'm unimpressed by the agenda items and don't feel the incentive to put in the work. As a recent article by Chase over on OS pointed out, it doesn't feel like a lot of the goals were tested for fairness and feasibility. They'll often force you to play modes you're not interested in just to get minimal XP, or they're just plain not fun for whatever reason. Great idea, a bit poorly implemented this year.

I'm probably getting Pippen. But it is a grind.

So far I've been playing single player stuff only, having decent fun. This is my current lineup.
Once a solid second five was made, domination got hella easier as usual.
Embiid is evolved into the playmaking branch and with Butler I'm going for the shooting branch.
Both Poetl and Rozier had only the general improvement choice, so I played them a bit specifically to upgrade them to 85.

Shaq is a cheat code, just order him to post up, pass to him and AI immediately double teams him. Easy threes.
Steph and LBJ are both from the token market.

You seem to be in the same boat, and on the same trajectory as me. We have close to the same XP as well.

Yes, They love doubling Shaq in the post, it got me a lot of open threes with Skiles, Mark Jackson, Jason Williams, etc. It's unfortunate that the CPU never adjusts on any of the three difficulty levels. It is an automatic double every time. And if you go quick into a drop step with Shaq, it's basically a guaranteed score.

Yep, I just maybe focused a bit more on the challenges for XP...
I'm also 6 things away from PD James Worthy (Lakers trophy case).

I have to say that the removal of contracts actually made the mode fun for me. I no longer have to worry about using up contracts on bench players and can play with whoever I want.
Next, just get rid of injuries IMO, in this mode it just adds a random annoyance and I don't think it really serves any purpose really. It makes sense in MyNBA, not in MyTeam.

I just got a Ewing free agent card.

Sucks I can only use him for 5 games.

I do have to say, having like 2-4 hours to redeem some locker codes is a big fat loss on 2K's part. In my opinion they shouldn't really expire at all, but literally couple of hours is way too short.

It's certainly inconsiderate of gamers in different time zones.

I think the Rookie Evo one was 5 minutes...

I'm kinda late to the party (I've just bought the game recently), but thanks to the NLSC podcast, the grind proccess wasn't that bad and finally got Scottie (one of my favorites of all time). My only real problem with the game is the matchmaking. I'm from South America, so it's really hard to find a game.

Yeah I was at 140k already but it was easy to get the last bit of xp needed.

I've played him at SF so far in the spotlight challenges. Still need to do part 3 so I'll try him at PF there because I need rebounds for the triple double and see how that goes. But I already know he doesn't have rebound chaser.
