I'm having a hard time for changing crowd (jersey, shirt, hood)

I'm hoping there is a tutorial for changing crowd color for nba2k22.. or posting DDS file for crowd..

I already watch and follow that tutorial it comes the crowd all black.. Do you know this problem?

that's normally due to the dds being saved incorrectly and\or being named wrongly when reimporting. it needs DDS in caps.
I have made loads of crowds for 2k21 that work just fine in 2k22. I made it so that the tee shirts, hoodies caps etc are all different colours creating much more variations.
You can extract the alpha channel and look how I did it, I think it works better IMO than everyone in the 9 vest having the same tee underneath for eg.

color + alpha
BC3 8bpp (linear)
13 mipmaps (or auto)


Other DDS plugins can use:
DXT5 13 mips

The PSD file is fine. The dds file needs be save correctly. You have to save the psd file as crowd_clothing_color_slice.DDS. This file is inside the crowd_xxx.iff file.

yes I did but still come up all black crowd if the game started.. I already used paint.net, Intel texture works and Nvidia Texture Tools and I watch over and over all the tutorial its not working.. can you save it for me just an IFF files only or DDS files.. please! I'm begging you..

I could have made the caps work better if the cap logos were separate on the PSD. I used the alpha to give the tees under the vests change colour, and the same with 1 cap. You can do it with the hoodies and teeshirts too. Extract the alpha from the dds in the iff and you can see how it works if you are used to gfx design.

Bro... You just saved me from a full out tantrum lmao. Been watching videos and messing with in-game settings, and reinstalling GPU drivers and all kinds of shit lol. It was literally caps. Preciate it bro!
