Using the NLSC downloads facility has its benefits. A lot of people on here are using MEGA or Mediafire, and when they upload to those spaces, it takes up storage, and eventually they run out of it.
When using the NLSC downloads facility, not only are you not taking up your MEGA or Mediafire space, but your space is unlimited and your mods are preserved. It also gives your mods more exposure, and allows you to supply your favorite screen example of your mod, give install instructions if necessary, and more.

As of now for 2K22, only 8 files have been uploaded to the downloads facility (6 of them are mine), and I see a whole heck of a lot more mods being released on here than that.
If you have a website that you want to plug as an external link for when they hit download, you get to do that as well, but once again putting your mod in the downloads section just gives your mods more exposure, and gets more people to use them.
We have a lot of mods that go missing because of links being unavailable, storage services being shutdown, and various other issues related to access. You can avoid this issue by uploading to the NLSC Downloads section, as the NLSC is not going anywhere any time soon.
