Creating Custom Jersey's

I've been having trouble making custom jerseys. I am aware of the nba2k20 forum jersey tutorial and I've watched Rob Davis's series on high school jersey modding(great videos btw) and I for some reason still can't get them right. I've exported files and edited them and put them back into the game and the players end up invisible! I've downloaded modded jersey and edited them and put them in the game and they don't work. So far my jersey only has a preview with the help of NBA 2K Tools. If anyone knows what might be the cause of the invisible players I'd really appreciate it if you could help me here.

you are probably saving as the wrong type of dds?
