Yes, try with 2KTools, it´s easier than cheat engine. You have to edit it again in your MyTeam because for the game it is a different roster list.

@Shuajota, is there any guidelines on which CFID slots to be used / reserved for draft class 2021?

i.e. Jonathan Kuminga, which CFID should I use for him to be included in NBA2K21 as a draft class 2021 and not FA.

You mean what IDs will I use in my draft class? Because 2K never releases a one-year post-game draft class. If you mean my project, I'll use the IDs starting at 10,000, and I'll post a full cf list when I'm done.
If, on the other hand, you have downloaded some cfs and you want to add it to a player from a draft class, I would also use from 9,000 or 10,000 because 2K is adding the 8000 series for the rookies this year.
