Looking for advice about Portrait Modding

Hi guys

As the title says, I'm looking for advice about Portrait Modding. My problem: I'd like to add a new portrait for Dwight Howard. I cut the picture and saved it as a DXT5 .dds format.

Everything's looking realy nice. But when I add the picture to the game, some weird white halo appearing around the portrait.


And I don't know, what is the source of this problem. Maybe the format? Or something inside the .iff file? Appreciate for the help

I think I once observed the same problem while I was modding portraits for an older game. I think the problem originated from the fact that I did use Gimp for cutting and saving the portrait and with Photoshop it was gone (or it was the other way round). Which programm did you use?
