How to Add Fog/Mist on 2k21?

Hi all!

Is there any use to produce the fog/mist effect seen on 2k20 mods in 2k21?
I've tried this (https://www.2kspecialist.net/2020/11/nb ... -2k21.html) but it just made everything very bright, and didn't add any fog.

I'm, using Deiby's Nitro Lighting made for 2k20 on 2k21 (it works surprisingly; just had to tweak the Pelicans and Suns courts), if that helps.

Hi

There's a simple way :
download a lighting mod from 2K19 or 20 with the effect you like.
open 2K19/20 arena file (sXXX.iff where XXX is the team ID) with 7-zip
crowd_lighting.FxTweakables and PostEffect.FxTweakables are inside 2k19/20 sXXX.iff
just copy & paste them into 2K21 sxxx.iff file

Hmm, this one doesn't seem to do anything...Whilst the other mist effect patch brightened the court (albeit adding no fog,) this one doesn't seem to add anything, no matter what level of fog I put it on.
Again, it could be that the nitro lighting is interfering in some way, but I doubt it, as the original PostEffect.Fx Tweakables file wasn't modified (it says it was modified in 2014.)

this doesn't seem to work either... it just makes the court a lot brighter.

Also, the fog effect doesn't even work if I simply drag and drop the fxxx, sxxx and lightmap files into 2k21 (replacing the Nitro files entirely.) Is it something wrong with my 2k21? Should I update it to the newest patch?

Here's the difference between the courts with no fog and more fog (0.5, like you said.) Things only seem to get brighter, with no actual fog/mist being added. I'm unfamiliar with editing hexadecimals, could you send the 5 fog file to see if that shows a difference?

I don't see any fog in 0.5...I'm not sure what could be causing this issue, I've even attempted using the stadium and lightmap made for 2k21 with no results other than everything getting brighter. I'll attempt updating my game to the latest patch if I need to.

As expected, it just makes everything a lot brighter, adding no fog, even with the 5 fog level; looks nothing like the pictures you sent me.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, along with updating it to patch 1.05, with no luck.

I'm going to try to remove all of my mods except for the one court, and will attempt to use a different lighting/court made for 2k21 as a last resort.

The problem is that these mods should be modded in combination with the crowd files. Something i did and helped was making twists crowds less saturated. Then brightening the crowd does not just become so much overexposure

Removed all of my mods, adding solely the Nets Realism court (f018, s018, and s018_lightmap), added the "5" fog to the s018 file, and alas, there's no difference (or only a minor difference) between using no fog and 5 fog, and there's no fog present.

The Nets Realism court is supposed to come with fog as well (without adding the "5" fog,) and it doesn't show up either.

I'm not sure what can explain this issue, as I've removed all my mods and reinstalled the game. I'm using CODEX if that helps.

Could somebody try sending me a court that has a ton of fog added off the rip? I'm thinking that there's a chance I'm just putting the PostEffect. FwTweakables in the s018 wrong somehow.

I believe I replaced either the sxxx or sxxx_lightmap (can’t remember which of the two) of the pelicans and suns courts with a duplicate of two other random courts that worked. It’s obviously not a perfect solution, as because the file was made for another court, some things may look off, but I haven’t noticed anything.

Removed all of my mods, adding solely the Nets Realism court (f018, s018, and s018_lightmap), added the "5" fog to the s018 file, and alas, there's no difference (or only a minor difference) between using no fog and 5 fog, and there's no fog present.

Also sorry because I’m new here, but the rules state that pirated copies are not to be disccused, but pirated game copies can still be used as long as it’s not actively discussed.
