Historic Draft Classes are disappointing

Postby TGsoGood on Wed Sep 09, 2020 1:23 am

You can't download rosters, player dna, or draft classes from the community right now so I tried historic drafts... messed up my entire league. It's like you are playing myteam again. You get versions of a player that never existed. A 19 year old rookie that has been a pro for 7 years and comes in looking 30 years old. Not to mention tendencies and some ratings are not true to the rookie year of some players.

I just made this video this morning after realizing historic draft classes still has many issues. The biggest issue is players get drafted as multiple year vets and don't qualify for rookie awards

The amount of sloppiness in the rosters across all modes is very disappointing. It's something 2K used to pride itself in, but the last few years it's just been getting more and more slapdash.

The fact that they don’t use assets they already have in-game (younger Derrick Rose for example) is a joke and shows horrible laziness. Tendencies are atrocious, I believe rookie Dwight Howard has the same tendencies as 2020 role player Dwight Howard. They have also gained the rights to quite a few historic players over the last couple years and still neglect to add them to these classes. Not even just MyTeam exclusives, but players on the offline rosters they still haven’t put in their proper draft classes

I've been annoyed these last few years with historic draft classes that they didn't include any from the 50s so we could have Wilt or Russell.

I think you've touched on the reason right there: MyTEAM. That's where the attention goes, because it's the mode that makes the money. Mind you, the attention to detail isn't always there for historical players in MyTEAM either, with retro versions of active players often using their current face along with ill-fitting attributes and tendencies.

Its just fcking frustrating to get the same bugs every year!
What the hell are the QA team doing?
It really shows they don't give their full effort on everything.
We the customers are the guinea pigs to test everything for them, and even if we spoon feed them the bugs/errors, nothing!! No change!

The saddest part is we have no choice.
I really really wish everyone will not purchase the full amount of this game and wait for it to go down to like $10, then i can calmly say, the game is worth it.
But of course, that won't happen.

Just a quick rant.

Well, when it comes to QA, there are a few things to consider. They may or may not have in-depth knowledge of the sport itself, but even if they do, any of their suggestions regarding rosters, ratings, etc, may be disregarded by the developers. There are a lot of stories out there from people who have worked in QA on major games about reporting these issues, only to be told "not a bug"/"working as intended" by the developers, so they may well be doing their jobs and then some by pointing out issues, but it's up to the developers to take stock of them.

Looks like they've fixed the Years Pro problem at least. I noticed on Sunday, might have happened before that.
