Defensive Settings

Postby BrotherJRB on Mon Sep 07, 2020 10:58 am

With the Raptors winning the title last year and continuing to be challenging team I had hoped that they would have added some defensive settings outside of the same ones we have had for years.

Defensive sets needed
80's style illegal defense double teaming (have to commit to the double or actively guard your own man)
Box and 1
Triangle and 2
1-3-1
Diamond Press
2-2-1 Press
1-2-2 Press
Man to man with PG only full court press (I can never get this to work -- when playing big guards I would love to be able to have a Pat Beverly (or Mugsy Bogues) turn a PG a few times to cut down shot clock without it being a full court press.

These are simple basketball concepts that need to be added to the game as certain coaches experiment with what had typically been college defenses. Every playoff game in the bubble we see a ton of different defensive schemes than we are able to create in the game.
2013 is the year?

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get some of these concepts into the game currently let me know.

I think to have the PG pick up the ball handler you have to go to the defensive setting and set the PG to pick up full court.

For example you are the Clippers and you want Pat Bev to pick up Damion Lillard full court, you just set Damion Lillard's setting to full court pressure.

Where to find full court pressure settings? I can't find them in defensive settings.

on 2K20, with Limnono, you could enable this hidden option, and much more.

Hope he will release the same tool with the same options for 2K21.
