Sun Mar 19, 2023 7:01 pm

Hi ..
i have problem on NBA 2K20 and 2K21 to login in PS4. When i wont to log give me only - Error code : 4b538e50 I reinstalled the game everything is the same.
I can't log in and play it for 6 months now. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and what needs to be done?
They take people's money for games and then bail out. This is not correct at all.

Online support has ended for NBA 2K20 and NBA 2K21, with NBA 2K22's servers set to be shut off at the end of this year. All 2K titles get 27 months of online support, following a change in policy after the NBA 2K14 server shutdown after 18 months proved to be controversial.

2K14 is the best-looking basketball game ever (but not the best gameplay ever), so I can see why ending online support would have been especially controversial.
Overall I wish games kept the online support forever, but I guess its expensive to run.

At a certain point, most of the userbase has moved on, making it difficult to justify keeping the servers up and running. I mean, they could afford it - they make enough money from the games - but it does become an unnecessary expense once the online scene for a specific title is practically dead. It's unfortunate because you can't download updated rosters and the like, and even the extended 27 months doesn't feel all that long, but it's kind of the way it goes with annual releases. Having jumped into Park and The Neighborhood/City after new games come out, I can attest that the activity does steeply decline fairly quickly. So again, while it's unfortunate, it's also understandable.
