Need help activating mods

Hi all,

Very new to the PC gaming community but really excited to get involved & learn how to use mods. Never done this before but bought 2k on PC w/Steam specifically to start diving into these mods and classic rosters/draft classes. I tried to install Thunder Shaqs 97 rosters & thought I did everything correctly.

I started here: NBA 2K20 External File Plugin (Waigua) - and downloaded that plugin.

I also downloaded the Hook file & dragged in my 2K folder that he recommends. (I dragged the Hook folder and files directly into the 2k20 folder, not into the waigua folder---not sure if maybe that was my first error?)

Then I downloaded all 3 of the files that Thuder Shaq posted for his 97 mod. For each of these files, I dragged all of their contents into the waigua folder. I also copied the file from the "move this file into Hook folder" and pasted it to replace the config file that was already in the Hook folder.

When I turned the game on - no evidence of the 97 rosters. So I thought "maybe I still need to download the rosters online." So I searched user created rosters, searched Thunder Shaq, and downloaded his 97 roster --- but even when I did that, I can't find anywhere on the game that I can actually load the roster. It allows me to save rosters, but nowhere to load them into the gameplay.

Can someone give a lost soul a hand here? It'd be much appreciated. In fact----If someone was able to jump on Google Hangouts with me to screen share and show me the correct ways to get these running, I'd even be willing to cash app a small fee as a token of appreciation. Sorry in advance if this post is in the wrong place as I'm new to this forum/community.

Press the Y button on the Xbox controller when in Play now or when starting new myleague and load the roster. The game automatically uses the latest NBA 2k Roster. If you want to look at the roster go to creat-a-roster and load it from there.
