How do you edit the Historic draft classes?

Postby KyotoCarl on Mon May 18, 2020 7:23 am

I would like to take some players from some years and put them into other years in the historical draft classes. How can I do this the easiest?

You can export the player and then they let you copy that player into the draft class. It makes you override, but you can just choose a fake player to replace

Thank you! How do I export a player? Do I have to do that in MyLeague or can I just do it from the create roster menu in the main menu?

I tried just importing player DNA for players I wanted from different teams but then you get players that get drafted and are 98 overall to start.

You can edit ratings to make them lower before the draft

But keep their potential high, so they still progress through the years?

Yeah for example LeBron could be in the 80s rated as a rookie but will still progress to a 98 based on potential

Just be careful. Sometimes altered draft classes can corrupt stats in the My League. For example I play the 14 game seasons (that's the lowest right?) and if I put a modified draft class in, when I start a new season, after one game of simulated play the stats on some players on some teams show up as 34 games played. It's wack. It's not every player, and not on every team.

I never figured out why it happens, just that for a few years now the nba 2k17 to 2k20, this bug pops up and I can't use certain draft classes.

If anyone knows why it happens let me know.

I usually go to the player's draft class.

Say, you want LeBron to appear in 1996 class. I'll go to 2003 class, export LeBron's DNA (84 overall rating) and copy it to 1996 draft class.

Yes, this is what I've figured out is the easiest way to do it too. Then, just like someone else said, I randomly lower some ratings to get, for example, Larry Bird down from a 98 rating to an 82 or so but keep their potential at maximum.
