So without further ado, my idea for the roster would be this; what if I were to start replacing the 30 all-time team slots (or e-league slots, since that'd seem a bit more practical) with the 13 best players from each draft class, all in their prime. So like the 76ers slot (all-time/e-league) would be the 2019 draft class, Bucks slot would be the 2018 draft class, etc.
The wet dream of this would be to create 36 teams and go back all the way to 1984, so you could run a full MyLeague. An ideal situation is to go from now to 2003 and run a playoff bracket with the best 16 draft classes (essentially skipping over the weakest draft of the last 16 years and replacing it with the '03 draft).
While either of those would be dream scenarios, I don't want to give this false sense of hope and hype up this idea with my wet dream fantasies. I'd consider something as simple as going back the last 4 years to be a success. Then you'd at least be able to run a mini conference finals series between them all. The point is, if I start small (i.e. create the last 4 classes, then create another 4 and go from 4 to 8, then 8 to 12, etc.) I feel like it's something that could be reasonable to achieve.
Again, I'm just thinking out loud. In the grand scheme, there'd still be a lot of work behind it all; creating logos, jerseys, courts. Then theres also the issue where the further you go back, theres players missing that might not be in the base game, so the extreme scenario is I may have to depend on others to make cybercafes and attributes, etc. With all that aside, I doubt I'd have the patience to do this entire project myself, and I'd probably scrap the idea if I was the only one interested.
Anyway, sorry for rambling. If you have any thoughts on my idea, don't be afraid to share em!
