Maybe when you renamed the files you put .wav.wav, check it.

I just checked the eyeuc thread and saw someone mentioned that as well, and that was the fix. I copied the .wav from the numbers text as well, and that messes up the file I guess. It's working now when I just imported the numbers.

If you guys did not set your files up to show the extensions for file names then don't add .wav because its already there.
If you don't know what I'm talking about then you are probably someone who doesn't have extensions showing.
Extensions are the file types such as .wav or .mp3 or .exe

If the arena music is similar to how it was in 2K17, there's variants of all the soundtrack used in the game. There's the full version of the song with arena effects (not sure when these are used in the game), about 2-4 shortened versions with arena effects (these ones you hear during timeouts and the road team introductions), then an instrumental of the song used at the end of a quarter.

Some are scattered about in the 003XXX range (so over 003000 in the eventmusic list). I did stumble on an Orlando Magic timeout routine, file 002863, but I still haven't found that draft music yet (a lot of soundtrack music cut down to about 1:45 I have found, I have to imagine they're timeout music but I can't be sure).

Still looking for that draft music, seeing as how it now plays when shooting free throws (god awful) it really needs to be overwritten with silence, lol.

So does the addition of the new music mess with 2k's in-game music or did the last update screw it up? Because everything is out of sync. The draft music plays during free throws, the halftime music plays during timeouts, the menu music plays timeouts, etc. I didn't notice it until recently but its very distrating.

It's caused by the latest patch. Even the console versions have that issue, so hopefully that gets fixed soon.

Yes, this is true and there is a pattern when looking at the size of the files. For example, 003766 is the entire full version of the "Run it Down" song from the soundtrack with arena effects added (echoes, etc...) and that file size is 7649 KB. The very next file 003767 is the same song but only a clip of it at about 1 minute 45 seconds in length and that file size is 2292 KB. The next file 003768 is the same Run it Down song but another clip of about 1 minute 40 seconds with a file size of 2182 KB. Then the next file 003769 is another short clip of 1 minute 45 seconds with size of 2337 KB. And the next file 003770 being only a 45 second long clip of the same song has a size of only 899 KB. Obviously, this makes sense as the size of the files go down as the length of the music within each file shortens. The next file 003771 is a NEW song in its entirety and the next files repeat the pattern of being smaller clips of this one.

I don't know if any of that information is helpful, but there IS some kind of pattern to these files. However, it is still difficult to determine how everything is arranged. I found examples of this pattern as others have in the 37xx range as well as 35xx and 38xx range so I would agree that files seem to be scattered for some reason. Hopefully someone can figure out a way to identify what belongs to each team, arena, event, etc...

I added debugOpt to this hook dll, you guys can use this to check which files the game is loading. Add "debugAllFileOtp": 1 to NBA2K_Hook/config.txt -> "global": {...} . like pic1.
Restart the game you can see a new file Debug.txt in NBA2K_Hook folder, it will print all loaded file names. The new file names are appended to the file, you can delete the file to clear/reset

Just a NBA2K_Hook.dll, make sure you already have hook v2.3.5. And pay attention the json format in config.txt when you add a new value.

The Debug.txt, you can see all loaded/loading file names, iff/wav/dds/etc.
