How to Revert Back to 5 Out Freelance

Hey guys does anyone know how 2K implemented the removal of the 5 out freelance? I've tried rolling back all the way to patch 3 which is way before they removed it https://www.operationsports.com/nba-2k20-weekend-update-playbook-and-freelance-updates/
The article says it wasn't part of a patch, but even then I've used the 2K rosters included with each prior patch I downloaded from Steam Console/DB. If it's not part of the manifest or roster, how would they have removed it? I play exclusively offline so no issues with that. Any help is greatly appreciated.
