NBA players official/real height in game

Postby ebok24 on Thu Oct 24, 2019 2:44 am

Hi Guys,

I noticed in the game that some players have different height compared to some roster lists.

Is it safe to say that the listed height of players in nba.com is their real height?

For example, Brandon Ingram is listed at 6-7 in nba.com while in game he is 6-9...

Thanks!

I’m currently compiling a roster so I’ve ran into this exact issue. Basically all NBA teams got official measurements this year and the results vary from previous reports. Obviously in-game, players always have shoes on so I think it’s safe to take the official measurements and add an inch. So Brandon Ingram, though listed at 6’9”, was measured at 6’7” and is therefore 6’8” in 2k.

That’s at least my rationale I’m using for the realistic roster. You can go with something different or perhaps someone has a better way of figuring it.

Thanks for the reply! I am also editing my roster and just noticed the height difference, I just want to make it as realistic as can be. Yeah, hopefully someone can give more insight on this.

The NBA supposedly is listing people at their no shoes heights but they are definitely rounding up. For example, John Collins was measured at 6'8 1/4" at the NBA combine but they list him at 6' 9" now. Basically any player with a fraction in their heights 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 will get bumped up.
