Court modding info

I’m not sure if it’s common knowledge but I thought I’d throw this out there.

Just for personal use till the new courts come out I went through all teams floors from last year converting the awesome work by amarowaade, Manni, and MJ using the tutorial method posted in here by mrk326. I used his method because I wanted the incredible reflections 2k gave us this year(the converted courts look incredible with the reflections) anyways I ran into a similar problem we had last year with a couple courts coming out all black. Timberwolves and jazz. I tried numerous files and numerous textures all with the same result. I ended up getting it to work by importing those 2 f00xx files right into the archive using 2k explorer.

Just thought I’d give the heads up my experience.

They aren’t mine to share.
Amarowaade and mj’s are super easy to convert though if you follow the tutorial.

Manni’s I had to photoshop and resize so they were a bit more work though.

they would be really good if you can share this in a pack here with the community, there is not everyone who can convert them so you would make a lot of happy thanks to you.

What catched my eye is that you said you’ve used the 2KExplorer! Have you gind a way to make it work??

Im going to go with pure luck lol. Watch in this video. It doesn't load the whole archive but the f027 and f012 load which is just enough for me to get the courts in lol.

I see, what I find weird is that happened last year, if I'm not mistaken, when those files were added to sync.bin, but I've checked in this year sync and I don't see floor files in sync yet...

I guess it has to do with some file inside those .iff which is making a conflict...

Timberwolves and Jazz works fine to me , no black courts and thru waigua only , no need to import thru 2k explorer.

Are you using a court made with the big76 method or the tutorial method with the 2K20 reflections.

I can get it to work without having to use nba 2k explorer only if I do a floor swap in a big76 file. Like the ones Manni used last year but I can’t fugure out how to get 2K20 reflections that way.

maybe i missing a step but nothing in showing when i load explorer. i'm seeing 1D AND 2j, but nothing is showing.

You aren’t missing anything. Since initially writing this thread I’ve discovered that I got pretty lucky in that video. I’ve tried explorer on my laptop and my desktop PCs and it only works for me on my laptop. On my desktop pc the archives are empty like you describe. It’s weird though because I can get most of the archives to at least partially load on my laptop but not at all on my desktop even though it’s the exact same 2k explorer folder.

Hi guys, the problem is that this has happened since the 1.03 update yesterday, and they have modified many things in stadiums and courts, these are the changes and in what location they are now:
Chicago Bulls s003.iff in 0N
Celtics s005.iff in 0R
Jazz f012.iff and s012.iff in 1D
Mavericks s017.iff in 1N
Spurs s025.iff in 2D
Suns s026_floor_lightmap.iff in 2F
Timberwolves f027.iff in 2J
Warriors s029.iff in 2N
Those who do not have it updated will see these empty locations. So now every time we edit a court or stadium indicated there we will have to import it with the explorer.I hope this helps.
