By the way, I just thought that you could help me or somehow give some clues on how they do this technique of retexturing. coz what I do is recolor the shoe_ed layers using photoshop and they look somewhat cartoonish because of the vector effect. I wanna improve my craft and make a more realistic touch to the colorways I make.

Yes this is the new wave of shoes editing in the chinese form now, or perhaps old new wave, because Makashite was doing this from before, and this is using blender to create the 3d model, not just photoshop like my or you, i tried to install blender many times, but the software is giving me errors when i tried to upload the NBA importer and i gave up trying

~~~Each Folder contains Two folders inside named {put inside global} + {optional}
A>>
-FIRSTLY, kindly put the file from the folder named {put inside global} INTO your global.iff file using 7-zip;
-THEN, make sure your NBA 2k is closed OR restart the game after doing 1st step.
-NEXT, go to Features>Shoe Creator>Edit the PG 4 model.
-THEN, for EVERY layer, apply the CAMO 1(FOR THE PE version)~~CAMO 2(FOR THE ORIGINAL VERSION) pattern and then save the shoe.
-FINALLY, go to your desired roster and then equip the shoe which you have saved. CONGRATULATIONS YOU DID A GOOD JOB ! :applaud:

B>> OPTIONAL
~~~IF you wanna see the actual texture while editing the shoe in Shoe Creator, DO the ff:
-FIRSTLY, you MUST have a file named shoe_frontend.iff inside your waigua, if you don't have it skip this part OR get it from the archives.
-Open the folder named {optional} then put the 2 files into your shoe_frontend.iff using again 7-zip;
-AGAIN, make sure to CLOSE/RESTART your NBA 2k every time you edit your global or shoe_frontend to load up the mod.
-THAT'S probably everything you need to know.

You should know how to find files from the archives. I think it’s a must. Because it’s one of the basics of modding. It’s to utilize the ‘manifest’. and I bet it’s not gonna be hard to learn.

for years, the forum has been blessed with great modders and great tools to ease needs like what u are asking. I started not knowing how to do this and that, but I took effort to learn how, little by little. It’s why this is a community in the first place right? To help. not to spoon feed. To learn not to be dependent. Im sorry for the words.

But okay here is what I’d do to help you on your way. Search it using the manifest file which is located in your game directory..If you dont know how to open the manifest, u should have a notepad++ installed on you computer. and if you have, just right click on the manifest and edit with notepad++. then search inside it.

OR, it might be the file name inside the binary..inside the txtr file that goes like this..(you should open it in notepad to view the content)

I sorted it out with last modified date before, so the ordering is kinda silly.
