Yes I did.
I also just tried deleting everything shoe related in waigui and then re-copying from the 1.1 zip file but i only still see the shoes that were in the 1.0 update.
I don't see the newer stuff like kyrie 6, etc.
Is it true that there are 612 files in the shoe folder for the 1.1 zip just like the 1.0 zip?

What I did to have this running is that a enabled/disabled and then enabled the over ride the sync.bin option when you press the F8 button.

Correct, and you'd do well to remember this. It's no secret that the number of contributors to this community have steadily been on the decline these past two years and a lot of the time, it's your name that pops up at the center of conflict with modders. This more often than not results in them taking their content elsewhere.
And yet, only one month from you starting beef with
Infamouz because you disagreed with his method of releasing content, here you are at it YET AGAIN with another longtime contributor. Great work dawg -- we really appreciate it.
Here's a suggestion though -- why don't you stop cruising around the forum like you're Deputy Brandon repping the NLSC division of CHiPs and let the moderators judge for themselves? Because last time I checked, that wasn't your role and I know for a fact I'm not the only one that's tired of watching you run to the mods like a hall monitor runs to a teacher every time you deem their to be some sort of violation.

Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and not do that. I’m not going to apologize for making people aware of the rules. I’d much rather tell a creator that their actions may be a violation and letting them look into it independently, rather than have a moderator get them first and ban them for a violation. Holding people accountable and having open discussions are pillars of a good community. I’ve always been respectful of both moderators and the good creators that follow the rules.
If creators are so thin-skinned that they disappear from a discussion than so be it. Infamous is still creating and doing his thing. Seanbarkley isn’t going to stop based on this one potential issue I raised. I’m glad people are tired of me pointing out rules. They should be. But the sad thing is I still have to do it because very few others even care enough about the community to do it. Andrew can’t get to everything so when a discussion starts the community can voice an opinion. I report everything I think may be a violation and request he weigh in. That’s what a community is, it’s self policed to a certain extent. If you want to stand by and not do your part as a participant, that’s fine. But seeing content go down the road of paid exclusives is a dangerous precedent.
Anyways, I’ll wait for Andrew to weigh in at this point for more clarification on donation exclusive content. Seanbarkley is a great creator and I’d hate to derail his topic further.

For those struggling to use new shoes, maybe try the old method from last year as that's what I'm doing and I see all new shoes/city jerseys etc and I have hook installed.
It's a nuisance as it takes away the point of hooks 'read mods before sync' but it works.
Basically, you have to go into sync bin file (open in notepadd ++) and search for every instance of 'shoe_global' and change them to 'xhoe_global' and save.
The reason this is tedious is because every time 2K updates the game, 1 instance of shoe_global reverses back to default, so each update you must change again.
Hopefully there is another way, but if not hopefully this proves useful to some.

Hopefully I'll suffice. Just want to settle any disputes that may be going on here. What is going on here is in direct violation of the NLSC Rules, as this is charging for mods, regardless of whatever spin you want to put on it. This must be rectified immediately.

It'd be tough for you to be more wrong than you are here. Basically top to bottom, on essentially every single point. Kudos.

OK no problem. I'll delete all my threads and everything since I don't want to go against this place rules. Just for clarification and before leaving: Can you please tell me what's the difference between this and vladzolajr tool which was placed here for 2-3 years which had a cutted down free version and a 15€ premium version? Because taking these rules strictly that was much worse.
Anyway, thank for all guys and sorry to have to leave here. I won't let you down.

You're certainly welcome to stay and release your mods to the general public free of charge like literally everybody else does and has for the better part of two decades. If you want to take your ball and go home and sell your mods somewhere else, best of luck. It seems very lucrative.
Andrew has illustrated how the tool RED MC and its predecessors was handled differently 5, 6, 7 years ago, on multiple occasions, so I'll let him choose whether he wants to reiterate or not here.

The point here is regardless of whether it is or isn't against the rules, that's a call for the mods to decide -- not for others to weigh in with their two cents. Clearly though that's sailed over your head like the cool breeze whistles between your ears.
And now from the looks of it another major contributor is out which again is exactly what I said would happen.

Here I am, a mod, deciding. I'm glad BJB helps out by reporting potential issues. He, in this instance, is 100% correct. And you continue to be without a clue. I assume that's why you immediately defaulted to trying to insult my intelligence. It's gotta be tough to just be completely wrong and have it pointed out to you and everyone else to see. I empathize with you.
Additionally, I truly could not care less if somebody chooses to leave because they can't adhere to some pretty simple rules that have been in place since the last century. Rules that hundreds and thousands of others have no issue with. The NLSC has been just fine with some incredibly talented, capable people leaving, and will continue to be. This is a place designed to house a modding community. People who are pre-occupied with other interests ahead of being a member of said community are more than welcome to find another place where they'll get the same level of exposure to their work.
If you have any additional commentary, please direct them to mine or another Team Member's PM. This thread will be left for seanbarkley to delete, or I'll lock it if he wishes, or whatever. But what it won't be is a place where things get veered way off course with nonsense. seanbarkley, by all means let me know if you'd like this shut down if you are intent on taking your ball and going home.

I hope this gets sorted out soon. His shoe mods are simply the best. It eases a ton of workload for those who are into shoe details in game.
Seanbarkley, I hit you up with a DM.

Another modder quit. He is a great modder and only modder to make this shoe mod. what is your problem! He spend hours of his time to make the shoes better and this is what you repay!

let me put my 5 bucks into this. first of all, I want to thanx seanbarkley for this awesome mod. it's really titanic work and a must-have mod. especially accounting a lack of work from 2K at the shoe game. but c'mon guys, bigh0rt doesn't say than this topic MUST be closed and seanbarkley MUST leave. he just pointed at the violation of forum rules. we all a big guys, seanbarkley if you want to be thankful with donaters just PM some additional link to them. quietly, doesn't need to say it here. but I think this can be unfair to someone who wants to but just can't donate for various reasons.
at the other end when I donate to someone it's because of my appreciation for modder's hard work and not for some kind of bonuses for this. it's a meaning of donation - "a gift for charity, humanitarian aid, or to benefit a cause" ©Wiki.
so I hope that you'll stay here with the community and will continue to give us these brilliant kicks. btw I hope sometime 2K gives us the ability to chose not one home and one away model of shoes for a player but several models or even a whole brand or couple brands with a random model selection (just like for Montrez or P.J. Tucker etc.).
P.S. my 5 bucks also goes to your tip jar.

Where does shoe_global.iff file go, in the main 2K directory, or inside the shoe folder?

It’s the main directory I believe.
Edit: sorry for clarification, the main directory is like just NBA2k20 with all the files. This goes within the modder folder in that main directory. I guess I assumed that’s what you meant by main directory.

Hi people, I’was taking some time because I needed tome take some time to think about this because I don't like to take decisions in the heat of the moment.
I’ve joined NLSC in 2008 without any clue on what a mod was, but I instantly fell in love with all that. Since then I collaborated with (and learnt a lot from) people like hokupguy, syxxness, vladzolajr, Leftos and many many others… and everything ended up in the Kicksology mod I’ve created a couple of years ago.
All along these years I started to have friends over here, so I kind of felt part of the family… but now this all happened and it seems that everything I’ve done, all these years haven’t meant a thing. Not a private message to let me know that MAYBE I was against the TOS (because like I said previously vladzolajr or R4zor did sold mods and tools previously – which I consider, I repeat, is not my case at all), not benefit of the doubt, not asking me what I think; just: “as this is charging for mods, regardless of whatever spin you want to put on it” and “If you want to take your ball and go home and sell your mods somewhere else, best of luck. It seems very lucrative”.
You mods and website owners have of course the right to say whatever you want, but IMO I think I should have had the opportunity to be treated as a contributor and not as a swindler, that is how I exactly felt the last couple of days.
The sad part is if Bighort or bluejaybrandon just had a small idea on what my mod is about, and all that includes and all the work that is behind it, I guess they would never have call this a “paid mod” because this 5 shoes I want to give away to contributors are just like a drop of water in the ocean.
That’s why I decided to stop releasing my stuff here. I don’t want hard feelings, we are grown men and I don’t have any bad word at all against anybody, just didn’t like how this all has been dealt.
For all those KICKSOLOGY fans: I’ll keep releasing and updating stuff. Thanks you all for your support this years!
Tue Nov 26, 2019 8:52 pm
Where will I go to keep updating? I like your MODs very much
