2020 draft class cyberfaces (Wiseman, Edwards, Toppin, Cole, Advija previews)

Hey guys, so with bluejay's 2020 draft class project on hold i started making some cyberfaces for myself, nothing on his level, but it's good for myself, so i guess it might be good for some of you guys too. However, i need some help since i am not a very experienced modder. For starters i've no clue how to transfer the player base i modified onto another png without losing the hair, so i ended up overwriting Nassir Little (base for Wiseman), Carsen Edwards (base for Cole) and Juan Hernangomez (base for Avdija). Couple more guys too, but those are free agents and will likely never make the league again. Another thing are the tattoos. Since i don't think anyone would be willing to make custom tattoos is there at least someone who knows how to apply other player's tattoos to a png? Any kind of assistance can help. Anyways, here are the previews and any kind of suggestion is welcome, i am here to make a project we can be happy with till bluejay releases his stuff.

Nice work.

For clarification, Bluejay wasnt making the majority of cyberfaces for that project, he was doing some tattoos and ratings/tendencies/and I believe some signatures. I'm not sure he was making faces at all.

I know this project hasn't got much traction lately but I thought I'd at least showcase the progress made. I haven't added tattoos to some players yet and some players have faces that aren't showcased here, but I still wanted to at least demonstrate the massive amounts of working going into this project. All accurate cyberfaces, tattoos, portraits, and pictures. These are not finished products and will only be available in the final release. I did not create the majority of these and have a talented and dedicated group I’m working with.

He stated he wasnt making the cyberfaces on those threads. I just want to make sure those cyberface makers get the credit they deserve for doing that work. As one of the biggest reasons draft classes get downloaded is for the accurate player faces (and for that project, there was some damn good faces). Nobody is saying BlueJay wasn't working on ratings/tendencies/tattoos and maybe even signatures. Which is also a lot of work, and a tall task. Putting in teams/players and making them play properly is a tall task indeed.

Just like UBR/URB, Monzki, Maravich, etc do so many great things for those mods face wise, and are both part of the credits. However, people just skip over them and most or all the credit is given to the person who created the thread/communicates in the thread.

I talked about that on the podcast recently. How the people who do the artwork (courts, jerseys, faces, etc) for these mods are often forgotten or seldom mentioned, but they put HOURS upon HOURS of work into creating faces for those projects.

Either way, I just wanted to point that out. Cool that you, and others are releasing draft classes (or working on them) this year. Its actually been a really solid year of modding all around, which I mentioned in Looyhs explorer tool thread.

Honestly, I am floored by all the mods/talent in the community this year. I am not a great CF maker myself (Still learning and doing my best), but it's intriguing to see people like you and others willing to LEARN how to do things modding wise, putting yourselves out of your comfort zone. That's what a lot of modding is, willing to put yourself into uncharted territory, and make A LOT of mistakes.

Shuajota has been helping me in the CF department, and that is another area I should mention. More people willing to help this year. It's really nice to see it, more collaboration this year is really awesome to see and be a part of.

Still, I think more people should learn atleast the basics (Limnono modifier and hook functionality). But, this year has certainly been better with people stepping up.

I agree fully, there's so much that can be done with just knowing how to extract files from the game, experiment with combining faces and just basic knowledge in blender, and anyone can learn that. It's really cool that the community is stepping up.

update: i didn't realize that copying the tattoos was as simple as copying the chest files, Toppin now has Kuzma's tattoos ... thanks tgsogood for his tutorials
