Legends Small Headshot Portraits Question

Mon Feb 10, 2020 3:36 pm

This probably doesn't matter to most people but it really bothers me for some reason. 2k has gone from the edit roster screen showing the action shot portraits (full body) to just the headshot portrait. I don't mind this at all but they seem to have removed a lot of the portraits that were in 2k19. A lot of legends, such as Michael Jordan, show the computer generated picture. Like I said, this won't matter for most, but I really like the look of having the picture of the player. Has anyone worked on a mod pack for players such as MJ to have a picture? I thought that a solution was to just extract the files from 2k19 that I wanted to use, but it looks like they changed the image sizes so the 2k19 portraits do not fit properly on the edit roster screen

I tried using headshots from 2K19 also and noticed they didn't fit anymore but it is an easy fix
You just have to shrink the 2K19 headshot to about 70% in your favorite DDS editor for it to fit in 2K20, I used Photoshop
also, there's a guy on the Chinese site that is updating a lot of retro portraits pretty frequently

Yeah I figured an alternative would be to shrink the 2k19 files. Seems rather time consuming though would it not?

yeah, its time consuming, plus you have to use Looyh tool to add the portrait back in unless there's an easier way to set all at once
