Like on your end it's not allowed or illegal? If so, why would you put a paypal link in your signature if you cant accept donations?

Dee, yeah my Frankenstein comment was off-base. It just seemed like the biggest draw of this project was everything but the lighting he was showcasing. I wrapped my feelings of the ad-links into additional, arguably unwarranted criticism.

And that is what I was trying to get at. I am trying to better understand his situation right now. He has a paypal account, and a link in his signature, but he is saying that donations are not accepted.
Modders need to realize that they will make more off of donations than they EVER would off of adfly links, by far. Why? Because if the modder is creating work that others like, and they are being a positive member of the community and consistently displaying good practices (Direct links to mods, releasing work they preview, etc) people will keep coming back, and will be more open to donating to the modder.
I have donated to several modders who are positive forces in the community, who consistently have solid practices and treat people the right way.

Donated. Let me know if you got it so then you'll remove ad-links.

I've been a part of this community for 22 years, including 18 at the helm of the NLSC, and I'm really disturbed by the way things are going these days.
It's really looking like w'ere going to have to institute stricter policies regarding ad links, or ban their use altogether. They've already become dangerous due to spyware and adult content, but now we've got people running users through multiple ad links and using ad links for previews as well. It's becoming too much, and it flies in face of what this community was founded upon, spits on every modder that paved the way since the site was founded in 1996.
I understand wanting to make a few bucks for your time and effort since the avenues are there these days, and I don't mean to single you out because a lot of people are using ad links, but they are becoming a problem and we're going to have to make some tough decisions in the near future. Even for now though, using ad links on preview videos as well as the download itself is pushing things a bit too far. Bumping the topic with the same preview as before is also not a particularly good practice.
