Hey guys, I'm just now entering the modding community, and after installing all you guys' amazing mods, I want to make my own.
So with that being said, I need some help. I'm looking to modify the parameters for 2K's auto-generated draft classes. I looked through the manifest and through a few files and I can't for the life of me find out what files I need to look at for this. Anyone that could point me in the right direction? Help would be much appreciated! I really want to contribute something decent here!

EZMADDEN, glad to see you around. I don't think we are able to edit the parameters of the generated draft classes. I believe the template for the draft class parameters are container within the roster files. If I recall correctly, that is how it was for last gen.
Again I am excited to see you around if you have a project that you need assistance with just hit me up.

Damn, okay. From what I've seen we can't edit the roster files from this generation can we?
(also, appreciate the love! can't wait to see what I can provide to the community)

There is a chinese tool that can edit rosters but it is only for sale on chinese sites and there is currently no translation of that tool. I believe that is the modstar tool.
There is also a tool in the works by Looyh but it has not been completed for release at this time. Looyh has graced us with many community freindly tools this year and they usually have english translations. Again this tool is not yet released and may not be ready until next month from what I know.
EDIT:
There is also cheat engine table that could speed roster edits up.
Limnono Trainer and Looyh's Hook has some roster functionality as well.

Gotcha, sounds like some stuff is in the works then. Thanks for the quick replies dawg

And yes, I've got all of that stuff up and running already. I'm about to get started on creating a PC version of my PS4 Fictional High School Hoops roster.

One more quick question. Can we still export the roster from a MyLEAGUE save like you've shown on your channel in the past? If so that would make things a lot easier.

Yes it is still possible but you will lose classic and all time teams. The only other caveat would be the ages from your myleague may need to be adjusted if you were in the future in myleague.
I have a tutorial for doing this in 2K20. I will be around for any help or questions you may have
