Modding the league structure

Fri May 29, 2020 11:08 pm

Hi guys,

I'm not sure whether it's possible but I was curious to know whether it's possible to mod the league structure in any way? I would be interested in eliminating conferences. For all I care division could stay (althought I would like them so seize existing as well but for difficulties sake I could live with them) but I would like conferences to be eliminated for the purpose of the playoffs. So would it be possible to mod the league structure in the game so the playoffs would be decided by overall (not conference) standings and thereby maybe even get a West vs. West or East vs. East final?

When you play MyLeague, you get to make rule changes every off season. One of the changes you can make is so that the playoff seeds are decided by overall record, and not by conference, so its already doable without mods.

That's blatantly not true. First of all you won't get to make these changes if you start with a custom roster since that prevents you from starting in the offseason. So you would need to simulate or wait a whole year before you can change the rules. Secondly the only rules regarding the playoffs available are:
The Top 8 teams from each conferenceare seeded 1 to 16 for the playoffs --> every conference still gets 8 teams so it still doesn't matter if the last 3 in the East have a worse record then places 9 10 and 11 in the West.
Division winners will get the top 3 playoff seeds in each conference, based on record --> again nothing to do with conferences. Quite the opposite if there is a shitty Division.

I'm happy for you to prove me wrong and show me a screenshot of the rule that says: Playoff spots will be determined by overall record without taking conferences into consideration. It simply isn't there. Hence why I'm asking for the possibility of modding it.

LOL. You asked a question, he responded the most informative he could and now you are challenging him? You should review the way you make your posts if you want any help.

As for your question, NO.

Most of this rules are coded into the scripts of the game and there hasn't been any iteration of 2K where it was possible to touch those. Only in 2K14 someone figured out a way to edit signature moves and import them from previous games.

Hello guys.

I drop that here,
I don't think it's possible but I try.
Do someone now if it's possible to use Wnba model (with 12 teams) to create a league.
It would "only" mean replacing Wnba teams by wathever created or existing one.

I'm currently working on an All-Time French League Teams roster, and it would be perfect to start with 12...

Maybe this topic was discussed before, but if someone has a clue, it would be awesome (and could be used for VTB League, Aba League, Lkl, Nbl or others).

Thanks by advance.

Whoa. I guess I was wrong then. Just trying to help so you don't need to get all defensive and make it out like I was lying about something really important.
