As usual, the production values look great. After the huge misstep that was NBA 2K18's story, they seem to have put together a couple of good tales. At the same time, however, it feels like more of the same. I feel like there's still going to be issues with an unlikeable/brash protagonist, a lack of story branching and meaningful choices, and other drawbacks that have afflicted previous stories. If nothing else, it'll force you to play through a story before you get to the meat of the mode.
Probably a moot point for me as I still feel like I'm done with MyCAREER at this point and am ready to move back to franchise gaming. If nothing else I can appreciate the work that went into it, but I think I'll always have a love-hate relationship with the story-driven approach.

Alright, the approach to progression, Badges, the new Archetype system, and everything else look awesome. An overdue overhaul, I'd say. Obviously we'll see how it all plays out because people are going to be looking to break the game and find exploits with OP builds, but the flexibility is very promising. Hats off to 2K for revamping that.
