Eye bulging issues on downloaded cf's

Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:10 am

Hey guys, I've downloaded a few Cyberfaces that look good in most shots, but have noticed that something makes their eyes bulge out of socket, either above, below, or directly outside of the eyelids. What causes this, and which part of the 3d headshape would I need to tweak in order to keep that from happening? I see a cruncle_shader_model vertex group, just not sure if that's what I need to work on or not.

So, if I remember correctly eye bulging has to to do with the neck and position of the head in relation to the eyes. Basically, the game reads the eyes where they should be different than the body. Thus, the head can be turned one way and the eyes can go another way. This means that bulging is very common and unfortunately not very fixable.

The only way to prevent it, that I'm aware of, is for the original modder to be very careful editing the eyes and avoid massive movements of them in Blender. One thing you can try is to move the eyes inward via Blender and hope they pop out less. Hopefully, someone has a better option.

Yeah, I've tried shrinking the eyes, shrinking the eye depth, repositioning the eyes, etc. Thus far to no avail. I thought maybe there was something within that I wasn't looking for that caused the eyes to do so. I appreciate it bluejay. If someone else has any other pertinent info, I appreciate it. As of now, it looks like it's just something I'll have to try to figure out. Maybe edit the CF to adjust the entire head backwards, or something. Who knows, haha. It bothers me.
